Message From Founder

Good health should not depend on where you were born — or what you can afford.

CHIP Foundation exists to bridge the gap between scientific evidence and equitable healthcare for every community.

Welcome, and thank you for your interest in CHIP Foundation.

Every year, millions of lives are affected by cancers and other non-communicable diseases that can be prevented, detected early, or managed more effectively through evidence-based public health interventions. The science exists. What is often missing is the sustained investment, collaboration, and implementation needed to bring these solutions to the communities that need them most. That is the gap CHIP Foundation was established to bridge.

Founded on decades of leadership in cancer prevention and public health — including my tenure as Former Director, ICMR–National Institute of Cancer Prevention and Research (NICPR) — CHIP Foundation works at the intersection of research, policy, innovation, capacity building, and community action. Our programmes transform evidence into measurable impact by strengthening healthcare systems, empowering frontline health workers, advancing cancer prevention and survivorship, promoting HPV vaccination among vulnerable populations, driving tobacco control and non-communicable disease research, and delivering community-based screening, health education, and preventive care initiatives that improve lives.

At CHIP Foundation, we believe that lasting public health impact is achieved through strong partnerships, scientific excellence, and sustainable implementation. Every programme we undertake is evidence-based, ethically driven, independently evaluated, and aligned with national health priorities and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

If you share our belief that prevention is the most effective — and equitable — investment in human health, we invite you to join us in building healthier communities, strengthening health systems, and ensuring that quality healthcare reaches those who need it most.
